Multiagent Data Mining Systems: An Overview

چکیده

Data mining technology has emerged as a means for identifying patterns and trends from large quantities of data. The Data Mining technology normally adopts data integration method to generate Data warehouse, on which to gather all data into a central site, and then run an algorithm against that data to extract the useful Module Prediction and knowledge evaluation. However, a single data-mining technique has not been proven appropriate for every domain and data set. Multi-agent systems (MAS) often deal with complex applications that require distributed problem solving. In many applications the individual and collective behavior of the agents depends on the observed data from distributed sources. The field of Distributed Data Mining (DDM) deals with these challenges in analyzing distributed data and offers many algorithmic solutions to perform different data analysis and mining operations in a fundamentally distributed manner that pays careful attention to the resource constraints. Since multi-agent systems are often distributed and agents have proactive and reactive features which are very useful for Knowledge Management Systems, combining DDM with MAS for data intensive applications is appealing. This document is intended to serve as an introduction to the field of Multi-Agent Data Mining and as an overview of several Agent-based Data Mining Frameworks. The overview is not exhaustive, but it highlights how multiagent systems can be and have been used to build complex Data Mining systems.

Towards the Integration of Multiagent Applications and Data Mining

This chapter has the objective to present research on combining two originally separated areas, agents including distributed multiagent systems and data mining, which are increasingly interrelated. Recent research has present that such interaction features are bilateral and complementary, since new approaches and techniques are developed to benefit from the synergetic enhancement of intelligenc...

A multiagent data warehousing (MADWH) and multiagent data mining (MADM) approach to brain modeling and neurofuzzy control

Based on the hypothesis that the brain is a society of semiautonomous neural agents and full autonomy is the result of coordination of semiautonomous functionalities, a multiagent data warehousing (MADWH) and multiagent data mining (MADM) approach is presented for brain modeling and illustrated with robot motion control. An algorithm named Neighbor-Miner is proposed for MADWH and MADM. The algo...

Concepts, challenges, and prospects on Multiagent Data Warehousing (MADWH) and Multiagent Data Mining (MADM)

Multiagent Data Warehousing (MADWH) and Multiagent Data Mining (MADM) presents a multidimensional agent-oriented approach for brain modelling and decision making based on the hypothesis that a brain system consists of a society of semiautonomous neural agents and full autonomy is the result of coordination of semiautonomous functionalities. The agent-oriented approach leads to the following con...

Ancient Gold Mining Activities in India - An Overview

Gold was obtained through washing or panning of the river sands during initial periods of civilisation. With the advent of knowledge of metallurgical processing of ores it was recovered through mining of in-situ quartz reefs, and then from auriferous sulphide ores. The metal mining activities are evidenced in the form of large number of ‘ancient metal mines’ or ‘old workings’ and ‘placer mining...
